Senior Cloud Engineer, The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Newark, NJ:

Deliver computing services in cloud-based environments such as AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. Develop and support solutions to automate the creation, management, and destruction of infrastructure; remove complex technical impediments. Develop corporate platform standards based on cost, capability and capacity requirements to drive business value. Document solutions to support the adoption of developed solutions. Evaluate the organization's cloud cost management processes and tools to identify optimization opportunities. Review new capabilities released by the public cloud providers and work with PruCloud POs to develop an optimization roadmap. Track and manage roadmap and backlog to ensure optimization activities are yielding the desired business outcomes.

Telecommuting permitted up to 100%. Candidate may reside and work from anywhere within the U.S.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $152,859.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, DevOps or a related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, DevOps or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.

Must have 3 years of experience in:
  • AWS services and well-architected framework; and,
  • Creating advanced product level visibility to help drive better business decisions and cost accountability.

Must have 2 years of experience in:
  • Core public cloud billing, cost management, and data visualization tools (Cloudability or AWS Cost Explorer);
  • Cloud billing and metering and the impact of usage patterns on total cost of ownership (TCO); and,
  • Providing chargeback, showback, budgeting and forecasting as core capabilities of cloud financial management.

Telecommuting permitted up to 100%. Candidate may reside and work from anywhere within the U.S.

Domestic travel required up to 10%.
