Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Development: Design and implement SQL Server databases, including tables, indexes, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Service Broker Configuration: Set up and manage Service Broker for asynchronous messaging and distributed processing.
  • Query Optimization: Analyze execution plans and optimize queries for performance and scalability.
  • Data Integrity & Security: Apply best practices for data security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
  • ETL & Integration: Develop ETL processes using SSIS or similar tools for data migration and system integration.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Ensure database health, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, architects, and business analysts to deliver integrated solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
  • Hands-on experience with Service Broker for messaging and queuing.
  • Proficiency in query tuning and performance optimization.
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools such as SSIS and data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of database security and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in healthcare or benefits administration environments is a plus.
