Job Title: SPED Teacher

Duration: 6 Month Contract

 

Elementary grade level. K2

They need some who hold certification and comfortable with SDC settings.

 

  1. Specialized Instruction Environment

SDC provides structured, individualized instruction designed for students who cannot succeed in a regular classroom even with support.

  1. Smaller Class Size

Classes are typically much smaller (around 8–15 students), allowing more one-on-one attention and targeted teaching.

  1. Taught by Special Education Experts

Students are taught by a credentialed Special Education teacher with training in disabilities, behavior management, and modified curriculum.

  1. Modified or Alternative Curriculum

SDCs often use modified curriculum based on the student’s IEP—this may include academic, behavioral, functional, or life-skills goals.

  1. Higher Level of Support Services

Students may receive related services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, counseling, or behavior intervention, all within the SDC environment.
