Position Summary:
As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for automating, optimizing, and modernizing virtualization environments for Enterprise Managed File Transfer infrastructure. This System Engineer will ensure the reliability, performance, optimization, and security of MFT Infrastructure systems. The MFT infrastructure spans over multiple datacenters and virtual environments. The enterprise MFT infrastructures use several technologies by vendors like Axway and IBM.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with either IBM Sterling Suite and Axway Secure Transport
3+ years of programming experience with either Perl, SQL, Unix script, Python, JAVA, PHP or C++
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
Experience in DevOps principles, automation strategies, and advanced container orchestration, with a understanding of tools such as Kubernetes
Strong scripting and automation skills, enabling the creation of robust and efficient automation solutions
Familiarity with security and compliance standards, such as HIPAA and NIST, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements
Experience and knowledge of additional MFT technologies like GoAnywhere, Seeburger, Ipswitch
Education:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Must have: the required skillset as an experienced system admin for Axway's Secure Transport and/or IBM's Sterling suite.
Should be involved in installations or migrations of these technologies, or in developing API's or programming in C++.
