Sr. Test Automation Engineer - Kohler Ventures

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Palo Alto, CA / New York City, NY (Midtown Manhattan) - Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite

In your role as Senior Test Automation Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:
  • Work directly with the Head of Software, software engineering team, and product teams.
  • Create, maintain, and deploy testing tools/frameworks.
  • Help deploy and integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Establish testing patterns, best practices, and increase test coverage (in partnership with engineers).
  • Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates or potential problems.


Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline from a reputed academic institution.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Test Automation engineer.
  • Experience with functional, regression, and end to end testing.
  • Experience with some of test automation tools/frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUI, Selenium, for Node, server API such as Jest, Cucumber, iOS, Android, embedded firmware for IoT devices.
  • Experience in development using script programming language, Python
  • Ability to translate business requirements into test plan and develop test automations at all layers.
  • Ability to work and communicate with multiple stakeholders including PMs, engineers, engineering management.
  • Availability to work outside of standard business hours as needed to be able to collaborate with teams across multiple time zones
  • Minimal travel as needed both domestic and international

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Compliant with appropriate QMS and regulations for medical devices.
  • Broad interest spanning from early prototyping to shipping finished features.
  • Experience in data science (including ML algorithm implementation).
  • Champion for quality in code, processes, and culture.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a high degree of ownership and self-motivation to drive change.
  • Entrepreneurial experience in a high growth technology focused company or startup.
  • Exemplary collaboration skills across teams, geographies, and functions.
