Job description
The AI/ML Cloud Engineer (Azure) position is a contract role focused on developing and sustaining an Azure-based platform dedicated to AI services.
The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in cloud technologies, particularly Azure, to oversee the development, modernization, and migration of AI workloads, ensuring security, scalability, and performance in a multi-cloud environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of development, modernization, and migration within a multi-cloud environment.
Design and establish a scalable infrastructure within Microsoft Azure tailored for AI workloads.
Apply best practices in Azure architecture focusing on security, scalability, and performance.
Integrate and configure essential services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and other AI tools.
Deploy Azure AI solutions to fulfill tenant requirements effectively.
Collaborate with development and data science teams to implement and operationalize machine learning models and AI services.
Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
Monitor the health, performance, and security of the AI platform using Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, and Azure Sentinel.
Assist tenants with troubleshooting, optimizing workloads, and resolving issues during their onboarding and scaling processes.
Provide continuous platform support, ensuring prompt resolution of incidents and service requests.
Identify performance enhancement opportunities within the AI infrastructure and implement optimization solutions.
Manage patching, updates, and enhancements to keep the platform secure and up-to-date.
Develop automation scripts to streamline cloud infrastructure management and boost operational efficiency.,
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of AI services while offering technical guidance to tenants and mentor junior team members.
Document infrastructure design, processes, and best practices.
Requirements
7+ years of relevant experience in the field.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
5+ years of experience in designing, building, and monitoring Azure infrastructure.
Proven experience in implementing Azure AI/ML solutions and deploying models.
Experience with cloud management and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Experience with AI/ML frameworks, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.,
Certifications: Azure Certified Solutions Architect and Azure Certified Machine Learning.
Nice-to-haves
Knowledge of Kubernetes and other container orchestration platforms is preferred.,
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
