Position Overview:

Apex Systems is seeking a QA Engineer on behalf of a leading insurance technology partner. This is a fully onsite role based in Melbourne, FL. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented quality assurance professional with a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining a high-quality insurance web portal, contributing to the development of robust testing strategies and tools.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities / Typical Day Look Like:
  • Develop comprehensive manual test plans to ensure full coverage of software functionality
  • Write automation test scripts using modern tools to streamline testing processes
  • Define clear acceptance criteria for user stories
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and collaborate closely with development teams
  • Test user stories within the Agile Scrum framework
  • Provide timely updates on testing progress and issues
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track quality metrics and improvements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong experience in both manual and automated testing
  • Ability to write detailed test plans and acceptance criteria
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and tools like Cypress, Playwright, Postman, MSTest
  • Full stack testing experience (SQL, REST API, C# .NET Core, Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML)
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and understanding database design
