Project Manager Functional

Our leading global financial client is looking to hire a Functional Project Manager.

Hybrid - in office 3 days per week

Long term contract

This role acts as a strategic partner to both Technology and LOB stakeholders by driving disciplined initiative execution, governance, and coordination.

Ideal candidates will have strong financial services experience,

Hands-on skills with tools like Jira, HP ALM, Tableau, and Excel macros for data analysis and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end technology delivery for underwriting-related initiatives including implementations, enhancements, and recovery efforts.
• Partner with Program Managers, Delivery Leads, and SMEs to define business requirements, develop features, and estimate effort.
• Ensure adherence to Enterprise Standards and Global Change Policy, maintaining project artifacts and governance documentation.
• Handle initiative-level financial tracking, resource management, and inter-project dependencies.
• Communicate initiative status, risks, and next steps clearly to stakeholders across Technology and Business groups.
• Facilitate meetings, resolve roadblocks, and drive continuous progress across Agile or hybrid environments.
• Leverage Jira, HP ALM, Tableau, and Excel (including macros) for project tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Support delivery teams by aligning execution with timelines, scope, and compliance requirements.

• Experience level: Experienced
• Minimum 6 years of experience
• Education: Bachelors
