Job Title: Systems Analyst
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Schedule: Onsite required on Mondays and Tuesdays
Work Authorization: Local candidates only no relocation or remote-only options available
Duration: Long-term contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support the ongoing development and optimization of a key enterprise application. As this application s functionality grows, so does the need for a dedicated analyst to identify inefficiencies, resolve recurring system issues, and align technical solutions with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong collaboration and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct root cause analysis to address recurring system and process issues
Identify workflow inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation or optimization
Collaborate cross-functionally with business and technical teams to gather requirements and implement practical solutions
Evaluate current systems and make recommendations for process improvements
Utilize system performance insights and data analysis to guide strategic decisions
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, eliminate redundancies, and improve service delivery
Communicate problem status, resolution plans, and progress to stakeholders
Develop temporary workarounds and permanent fixes to ensure business continuity
Minimum Required Experience:
5+ years working in a systems analysis role, including coordination across IT and business units
Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and a high level of initiative
Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Experience in implementing solutions to improve workflows and reduce recurring system issues
Solid judgment and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Understanding of business analysis and cost/benefit evaluations
Experience with problem management frameworks and methodologies
Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, Pareto)
Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations
Understanding of ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load)
Knowledge of ITIL practices, with ITIL certification preferred
Certification or experience with Azure Data Factory is a plus
Bachelor's or Master s degree in a related field preferred
