Job Title:- Workday Tester
Location:- Newark, NJ (Hybrid)

Job Description
Essential Functions:
- In partnership with the implementation partner, the incumbent will assist in defining the test scope according to each project milestone, classify technical and functional requirements for testing, and ensure the test scope aligns with the overall project timeline.
- Manage defects, resolutions, and regression testing.
- Co-own overall test strategy including test approach, roles, and responsibilities, and test tools. Assist with test case development by tester; and reports on success criteria for each of the test stages.
- Report test results to Workday partner consultants and Workstream Leads in a timely manner and contribute to issue resolution.
- Manage Workstream test plans, issue logs, defects and resolutions in designated tools in a clear format.
- Support data conversion, integration and reporting leads with validation activities associated with testing and development. Ensure that all workstream subject matter experts participate in the testing process per the testing plan.
- Participate in project core team and cross-functional workstream meetings to report overall testing status.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate testing sessions.
- Escalate issues to project leadership and project managers
- Lead test case development, sequencing, priorities, timelines, defect tracking and business process change impacts.
- Collaborate with the business users, workstream leads, and implementation partner to ensure that each test case has clearly defined dependencies and outcomes across all functional areas (HCM and Finance).
- Collaborate with the project team, Client stakeholders, and implementation partners to ensure smooth testing and implementation.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- 6 years of Workday HCM and Finance with at least 3 years experience as a testing lead.
- Experience supporting Workday data conversion, integrations, reporting and EIBs.
- Hands-on experience with multiple Workday functional areas, such as HCM, Payroll and/or Financials, is a plus.
- Proven track record of leading Workday testing in higher education
- Expertise in testing business process, security, automation, reporting, integrations, conducting end-to-end, payroll parallel, and UAT.
- Demonstrate experience with test management using tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in designing test plans to verify end-user security access, data protection, and user permissions according to institution policies, including contextual security, role-based security, and domain security
- Proven track record of leading testing efforts such as developing test plans, dependencies, tests according to features, and overseeing the end-to-end execution of test plans.
- Experience with Workday testing methodology and cross-functional testing.
- Experience in optimizing test cases to eliminate redundancy and ensuring re-usability to reduce cycle time.
- Experience supporting business users through knowledge transfer, and training to facilitate smoother testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 years of Workday HCM and Finance with at least 3 years experience as a testing lead.
