Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to join their Cloud IAM team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks, with exposure to Azure IAM. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can immediately contribute to accelerating an ongoing AWS IAM project, with minimal training required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and manage AWS IAM and Azure IAM policies and frameworks
* Implement service identity solutions and reduce reliance on human access through automation
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, GitHub, and DevOps practices
* Work with Amazon Verified Permissions and Cedar policy language to ensure secure, compliant IAM policies
* Support integration with HashiCorp Vault and other tools for secrets management
* Contribute to the ongoing AWS IAM project, driving efficiency and best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
* Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT, with at least 2+ years dedicated AWS IAM engineering experience
* Proven experience building and managing AWS IAM solutions (required)
* Strong GitHub expertise (required)
* Terraform proficiency (required)
* Experience managing DevOps pipelines
* Exposure to Azure IAM (preferred)
* Familiarity with Amazon Verified Permissions and Cedar policy language (strongly preferred, but emerging skillset)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
