Location: Carlsbad, CA (4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)

We are hiring an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain sophisticated engineering lab environments used for simulating commercial airline systems. You will work with physical and virtual infrastructure (VMware, NetApp, HP Servers), automate workflows (Python, PowerShell), and support Windows/Linux systems in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve senior-level infrastructure issues
  • Manage and support aircraft simulation labs and virtualized systems
  • Maintain system integrity across Linux and Windows environments, including patching and security
  • Implement automation for operational tasks using PowerShell, Python, PowerCLI, etc.
  • Monitor network/storage resources (NetApp, NAS, HP Servers)
  • Collaborate with global teams and support engineering users
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure documentation of solutions
  • Evaluate and support infrastructure tools in a hybrid setup

  • Strong experience in Linux & Windows System Administration
  • Proficient with VMware and virtualization management
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, firewalls, protocols)
  • Experience supporting NetApp/NAS storage and HP/Cisco hardware
  • Skilled in automation scripting (Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and capacity planning
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-vendor environments
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Familiar with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Artifactory)
  • Hands-on with vRealize Automation or similar orchestration tools
  • Experience in lab-based or test simulation environments
  • Knowledge of network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field
