RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Systems Analyst in Maryland Heights, MO.
Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Business Analyst to play a foundational role in building a new enterprise-focused IT team. This position will be the first hire on the team and will help shape the direction, tools, and processes for future members, including Product Owners, Project Managers, BAs, and UAT Testers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, natural curiosity, and the drive to grow into a Product Owner role over time. This is not an order-taking position - it's for someone who thrives in ambiguity, partners closely with business and IT stakeholders, and helps turn ideas into solutions.
Responsibilities:
* Partner with stakeholders and executives to understand business objectives and translate them into actionable requirements
* Conduct requirements gathering, documentation (BRDs, user stories), and process analysis to define system and workflow improvements
* Work closely with IT teams to identify, prioritize, and deliver enhancements that support agent operations and enterprise initiatives
* Collaborate cross-functionally to define the vision for system improvements and new solutions
* Serve as a mentor and team player, helping to establish team culture, structure, and best practices as the group expands
* Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Excel for documentation, reporting, and project tracking
* Stay curious and continuously seek out opportunities for optimization and innovation within the business processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical/project coordination capacity
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives and cross-functional stakeholders
* Strong organizational skills with a disciplined approach to requirements documentation and follow-through
* Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking
* Self-motivated with a growth mindset and a desire to evolve into a Product Owner role
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ICOMS systems
* Prior experience leading initiatives or mentoring team members
* Familiarity with telecommunications or enterprise systems environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
