Salary: $185,000.00 USD Annually - $200,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr Director / AVP - Digital Engineering

About the Role
We're looking for a strategic and experienced technology leader to drive our digital engineering initiatives within the pharmaceutical and life sciences domain. As Senior Director / AVP, you'll define and execute the digital technology roadmap, lead high-performing engineering teams, and deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that support our mission to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the digital engineering function across software development, cloud architecture, DevOps, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and execute a digital strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements in the life sciences sector.
  • Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and governance frameworks to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including product, data, and business stakeholders-to deliver scalable technical solutions.
  • Drive innovation through AI/ML, cloud-native platforms, microservices, and modern software architectures tailored to pharmaceutical needs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in digital engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at the Director level or above.
  • Proven track record in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Deep expertise in software development, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to align technology with business and regulatory needs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing AI/ML solutions in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, and other compliance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation initiatives in pharma or biotech.
