Job Description:
Title: DevOps Platform Manager
Direct Hire-REMOTE
Apex Systems is supporting a fortune 200 company out of Cleveland Ohio with a Platform Manager role. The DevOps Engineering Platform Manager will have a broad range of technical knowledge. They will manage a team that supports multiple projects and divisions and provide consultative technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision-making to project planning to governance and oversight. The managers inquisitiveness drives change, innovation, continuous improvement, and adoption of DevOps tools and techniques.
Eduction Requirements
-Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology field of study (e.g., Information Technology, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Systems Management, Mathematics) or equivalent experience.
Must Haves
-12+ years of IT experience.
-6+ years of experience managing direct reports.
-6+ years of experience supporting DevOps toolchain platforms such as SCM, CI/CD, IaC, Containerization, and/or Package Management.
-Experience implementing and owning DevOps/Platform Engineering technologies, strategies, tools, and practices (SCM, CI/CD, IaC, Containerization, and/or Package Management)
-Experience designing, executing, and supporting practices around SCM, CI/CD, IaC, Containerization, and/or Package Management
-Experience working with Linux, containers, and Kubernetes
-Experience developing documentation and presenting technical solutions to management, functional, and technical teams.
Nice to Haves
-Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud offerings.
-Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Artifactory, Sonar, LaunchDarkly, and/or equivalent platforms.
-Experience with Agile development and release methodologies.
