Location: Indianapolis, IN (Local Candidates Preferred)
Duration: 6-Month Contract High Potential for Extension or Conversion
Work Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite near the Keystone Fashion Mall)
Employment Type: W2 Contract (No C2C or Visa Sponsorship Available)
Pay: $60-70/hr depending on experience

What You ll Do
As a Salesforce Developer, you ll work within an agile Scrum team to enhance and maintain our Salesforce ecosystem including Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Chat, along with multiple integrated systems. You ll leverage your technical expertise to align Salesforce capabilities with business needs, delivering solutions that drive efficiency, innovation, and customer value.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Salesforce Development and operate within a designated release train as part of a collaborative, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Components (Aura & LWC), Visualforce, Lightning Pages, and declarative tools such as Flow and Custom Metadata.
- Integrate third-party applications such as Amazon Connect and LiveVox as needed.
- Perform unit and system testing, contribute to technical documentation, and ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues quickly to minimize impact on users.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies as part of an agile Scrum team.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, design patterns, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance platform performance and functionality.
What You Bring
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Hands-on Salesforce development in mid-to-large enterprise environments
- Software development experience with a strong background in object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Proven experience with Salesforce Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds, particularly on large-scale implementations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (Aura & LWC), and SOQL.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST/SOAP web services.
- Experience using VS Code, IntelliJ, and version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and SQL.
- Background in C#, Java, or other OOP languages is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certifications (highly desirable):
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II
- Salesforce Application Architect
- Salesforce System Architect
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing tools (e.g., JEST, Robot Framework).
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce CLI (SFDX), and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Experience developing on Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager is a plus.
