Job Details

Title: Senior Procurement Analyst
Client: NYC Agency

Location: Long Island City, NY (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Work Hours: 35 hrs/week

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic team. This critical role will oversee the full lifecycle of procurement activities, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and best value for the city in support of public health initiatives. The role requires expertise in managing complex solicitations, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • The selection process will involve two interviews: 1st round (virtual) and 2nd round (in-person).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition through contract award, for a wide range of goods and services.
  • Draft, review, and issue complex solicitations, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Analyze proposals and bids, conduct cost and price analyses, and ensure best value procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and city regulations, including the NYC Procurement Policy Board (PPB) rules.
  • Prepare detailed reports on procurement status, metrics, and outcomes for leadership review.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing expert guidance on procurement strategies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and program teams to streamline procurement operations.
  • Mentor and guide junior procurement staff.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in government procurement or a related field.
  • Experience working within a large, complex organization preferred.
