About the Role
As a Software Engineer in this contingent role, you will contribute to the development and scaling of advanced Generative AI (GenAI) and Conversational AI systems. You'll work on moderately complex engineering initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. Your work will support large-scale planning and execution across software engineering deliverables, with a focus on innovation, reliability, and responsible AI practices.
Responsibilities

Participate in the design and implementation of GenAI-powered conversational agents using Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) tools and frameworks.
Develop and orchestrate multi-agent GenAI systems using LangGraph, LangChain (with ReACT), and LLM tooling.
Build scalable, low-latency, real-time architectures leveraging technologies such as Bigtable, Pub/Sub, Kafka, and time-series databases.
Implement ML frameworks and MLOps pipelines to support continuous learning and deployment.
Design and enforce guardrails, observability, and transparency mechanisms to mitigate hallucinations and ensure explainability in GenAI systems.
Drive Responsible AI (RAI) practices at scale, particularly for regulated industries such as fintech.
Optimize cost and performance of GenAI solutions using hybrid deterministic and probabilistic approaches.
Integrate solutions with Google Cloud Platform-native microservices and event-driven architectures (e.g., Bigtable, Pub/Sub, AlloyDB).
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet software engineering goals and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent experience through a combination of work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform Conversational Agent platforms, including playbooks, connectors, data sources, and prompt engineering.
Proven expertise in GenAI agent orchestration and tooling.
Strong understanding of scalable, event-driven architectures and real-time systems.
Experience with ML frameworks and MLOps practices.
Demonstrated ability to implement Responsible AI principles in production environments.
Track record of optimizing GenAI systems for cost and performance.
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform-native technologies and microservices architecture.
