Job Details

The Ops Data File Analyst 2 is responsible for overseeing the operations and implementation of the client Data Files, with a focus on data file analysis, evaluation, transformation, quality assurance, mentorship, and professional development. This role entails the management of data transformation projects, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and adherence to service level standards. The Ops Data File Analyst 2 is also responsible for providing mentorship, and support to the team members, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Maintains communication on data transformation projects and production issues with relevant staff and client representatives as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibility #1: Quality Assurance and Mentorship (60%)
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to foster skill development and enhance the overall performance of the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to streamline and enhance team operations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to address any concerns, provide feedback, and promote a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Provide QA checks and regular audits of data transformation documents, ETL mappings and scripts, and insurance tracking system setup and configuration.

Key Responsibility #2: Data File Analysis (30%)
  • Perform code/script creation, testing, implementation, debugging, and documentation of data transformation processes to enable import of data into insurance tracking system. Read and translate data transformation requirements documents.
  • Read and translate data transformation requirements documents
  • Analyze and direct necessary changes to production data transformation code/scripts to enable accurate data import processes into the insurance tracking system.
  • Resolve problems associated with production programs/scripts/transformations, collaborating with the Data Transformation Analyst for complex programming.
  • Work with senior data transformation development staff, system administrators, and technical support to ensure timely and accurate data transformations of client/vendor information in accordance with established service level standards.
  • Analyze and resolve helpdesk tickets submitted by internal users related to data file processing/import issues.
  • Coordinate with Client Support/lender client staff/software vendors to analyze and direct data transformation projects, including new client implementations, client Data Processor conversions, client lender mergers, and daily production data transformation activities.
  • Set up client-specific configurations in Allied systems to enable data import and review for conflicts and configuration issues.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing for ETL data transformations.
  • Identify and assist with errors related to data mapping and system configuration

Key Responsibility #3: Skillset Enhancement (10%)
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of data management and analysis.
  • Identify and participate in relevant training, workshops, conferences, and networking events to foster professional growth and expand industry knowledge.
  • Share insights and knowledge gained from professional development activities with the team to encourage continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field preferred
  • 1-2 years of directly related work experience required
  • Certification in ETL Software Tool preferred
  • Experience in SQL - reading, writing data transformation scripts / programs preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
  • Strong ability to define and follow instructions with concise correspondence: oral/written instructions and memos
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and/or issues.
  • Ability to understand logical coding/script statements
  • Understanding of data file structures
