On the Apex program, software engineers and architects are developing ground-based mission planning and command & control software to accommodate the next-generation of satellite capabilities as well as implementing new ground terminals. Our complex domain requires innovative solutions to meet evolving customer needs. On Apex, you will work with teams of talented engineers to develop and improve advanced ground station software systems.
What You Will Do
As an Software IPT Lead, you will be responsible for activities that are critical to the success of the program.
Cost, schedule, and technical execution
Earned value management and status reporting
Technical and programmatic direction
Schedule definition and management
Risk and opportunity management
IPT level systems engineering
Staff planning
Agile and DevOps process definition and execution
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of relevant software leadership experience.
Ability to perform cost, schedule and technical management on a government software program
Experience with satellite command and control principles
Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycles
Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering functions such as TPMs, operations concept development, requirements management, interface definition and control, and technical risk management
Capable of becoming Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certified within 6 months of starting
Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date.
