Job Description: Salesforce Project Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Salesforce Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of Salesforce CRM initiatives across various business units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project scope, timeline, and resources while ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role requires strong project management expertise, deep knowledge of Salesforce platforms, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Salesforce projects including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud implementations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, define project scope, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Manage project lifecycle using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and communication strategies to track progress and resolve issues.
- Oversee cross-functional teams of Salesforce developers, administrators, QA analysts, and business analysts.
- Coordinate system integration, data migration, and testing efforts with third-party applications like MuleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or custom APIs.
- Provide regular project updates to executive leadership and business sponsors through dashboards, status reports, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Manage vendor contracts, budgets, and external implementation partners to ensure quality delivery and cost efficiency.
- Drive adoption and change management by planning and executing training, UAT, and go-live support.
- Monitor project KPIs and conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing Salesforce projects or CRM implementations.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities including configuration, customization, and AppExchange solutions.
- Experience with project management tools like JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
Preferred Certifications:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a plus.
