IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking for a UI/UX Designer to assist with current systems. The candidate for this role should be an enthusiastic user advocate, an effective communicator of usable design concepts, and a skilled collaborator willing to exchange knowledge and methods with colleagues.
Tasks:
- User experience design
- Create and manage design system patterns and interactions for web and cross-platform applications
- Rapidly iterate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
- Thoughtfully articulate design decisions and rationale.
- Collect and utilize data from usability tests and business analytics to make value-driven design decisions
- Provide design support during development and roll-out
- Work closely with experienced development and data science teams (e.g., brainstorming sessions, feature scoping, design reviews, etc.)
NOTE: Local candidates (North Chicago Suburbs) preferred. Position will be hybrid at least 2-3 days per week onsite.
Location: North Chicago Suburbs, IL (Hybrid)
Contract: 6+ months
Skills Required:
3-6 years of experience in the following:
- Experience with Wireframing
- Experience with User stories
Skills Desired A plus to have:
- Experience with tools such as FIGMA and Sketch
- Basic understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS fundamentals
