Job Duties

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Software Development Supervisor - CRMS & EPS in the Information Management Division.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

The purpose of this position is to serve as a technical supervisor for the DMAS Information Management Division with a focus on the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Care Management Solution (CRMS) and the MES Encounter Processing Solution (EPS).

As the technical supervisor this position is responsible for managing multiple concurrent technical projects and providing direction to a technical team comprised of highly skilled software engineers.

This position is also responsible for coordination of testing and scheduling deployments.

This position is a primary liaison with business stakeholders and technical personnel from other MES modules including Provider Services Solution (PRSS), Integration Services Solution (ISS), Pharmacy Benefits Management Solution (PBMS) and Fiscal Agent Services (FAS) and Medicaid
Management Information System (MMIS).

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Considerable experience or business knowledge of Medicaid system components such as Care Management, Encounter Processing, Member Management, Provider and related operations.

Considerable work-related knowledge or experience with data analysis, data mapping and working with common databases such as Oracle.

Extensive work-related knowledge and experience supervising, leading, assigning work and mentoring a technical team of employees and contractors.

Extensive work-related experience managing multiple concurrent projects.

Extensive work-related knowledge and experience with designing solutions based on requirements.

Considerable work-related knowledge and experience interpreting and applying federal and state laws and regulations.

Considerable experience prioritizing and planning work to meet project deadlines.

Considerable experience communicating with both internal and external business stakeholders and technical resources.

Extensive work-related experience leading systems projects.

Considerable work-related knowledge and experience with testing and validating test results.

Additional Considerations

Competitive candidates should meet these additional considerations:

Experience as a developer.

Experience with and ability to use common ETL tools.

Experience with X12 EDI transaction sets including 837, 835.

Experience working with Managed Care Plans and encounters.

Experience with DevOps and version control tools.
