MuleSoft Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Integration Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Technology organization. In this role, you will design and implement MuleSoft-based integration solutions for our Investment Data Platform and support the launch of a new Derivatives Platform. This is an opportunity to apply your expertise in API development, cloud platforms, and integration frameworks to a strategic initiative aimed at unifying and harmonizing investment data.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable API services using MuleSoft to connect internal investment systems with the Investment Data Platform.

  • Collaborate with business analysts and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.

  • Build and maintain APIs for the new Derivatives Platform, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise systems.

  • Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to modernize and optimize MuleSoft-based infrastructure.

  • Partner with EDM Technology team members and stakeholders to maintain a collaborative integration environment.

  • Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring for reliable API performance.

  • Promote Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps best practices to enable continuous delivery and improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5 8 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying API integrations in the financial services industry.

  • Proven experience with financial data (instruments, transactions, positions).

  • Expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API design, development, and management).

  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.

  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript, and experience with REST and SOAP APIs.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native integration patterns.

  • Understanding of data modeling and transformation (JSON, XML, XSLT).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).

  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) for API-driven visualizations.

  • Familiarity with API security frameworks (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
