RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineering in Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities:
* Software Engineering will design and develop resilient and robust web-based applications hosted on both cloud and on-premises platforms
* Engage in the hands-on design and development of technical artifacts
* Participate in technical reviews and contribute to defining and improving processes related to configuration management, deployment, and resiliency planning for the application
* Maintain, enhance, and implement bug fixes; Proactively monitor priority items, investigate issues, analyze solutions, and drive problems to resolution
* Collaborate with cross-line-of-business (xLOB) teams to align technical requirements with existing offerings and the roadmap
* As a Software Engineering, you will create system integration solutions and interfaces
* Enforce best Agile practices, such as story estimation and test-driven development
* Drive continuous improvement and innovation
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in API and microservices development with a strong grasp of system integration
* Hands-on practical experience in Java frameworks, including Spring and Spring Boot, Cloud, Kubernetes
* Experience with cloud technologies, with a preference for AWS
* Extensive technical development experience, including effective coding, code reviews, and best practices in configuration management and code refactoring
* Strong foundational knowledge in data structures, caching, multithreading, messaging, and asynchronous communication
* Solid understanding of J2EE, object-oriented programming, and Java design patterns
* Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Test Automation (Unit & Integration tests), Application Resiliency, and Security
* Exposure to UI development using frameworks such as React and Angular
* Familiarity with development tools and Java IDEs, including Ant, Maven, Jenkins, JUnit, Spark, Eclipse, and IntelliJ
* Proficiency in Unix/Linux tools and shell scripting
* Proficiency in SQL and database development
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
