The Warehouse Application Business Analyst is responsible for research, analysis, problem-solving for the warehouse applications systems. They provide oversight on projects, coordination of progress across the warehouse application teams and act as the liaison between business users and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Bridge the gap between IT and business and act as a liaison between business users, IT, and third-party vendors. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and status meetings to ensure requirement clarity and transparency. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to warehouse operations. Translate business needs into functional specifications for Manhattan Active WMS configurations. Support the implementation and rollout of Manhattan Active WMS across sites. Assist the team in system configuration, testing, and validation of new features and enhancements. Analyze current warehouse processes and identify opportunities for automation and cost savings. Work with IT teams to ensure seamless integration between WMS and other interface systems. Maintain comprehensive documentation including business process flows, training guides, and training materials. Configure and implement Manhattan WMS solutions including Labor Management and SCI Reporting. Troubleshoot and provide support for Manhattan solutions. Develop software solutions in an agile environment, including requirements definition and functional specification. Participate in integration meetings to determine system requirements and specifications. Drive process and productivity improvements based on analysis of existing operations and system capabilities. Ensure alignment of customer and business process enhancement requests with the core system scope.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years of experience with warehouse applications. Strong supply chain experience with functional knowledge of Distribution and 3PL Logistics. Proven experience in full lifecycle WMS implementations, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and go-live support. Strong understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping. Experience with system implementations, process mapping, and documentation. Familiar with integration frameworks (APIs, MIF, SQL), and data analytics tools. Ability to analyze system performance and identify improvement opportunities. Deep understanding of the right questions to ask when troubleshooting warehouse solutions. Strong ability to write clear and concise technical and business documents. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good work ethic. Strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent working experience.
