Job Description:

Solutions Architect

Must have Active DOD Secret Clearance

Location: Remote

Long term Contract (5years)

Pay Range: $100,000 to $175,000

Responsibilities

Provide architectural leadership for innovative digital products that support complex operational needs

Design and integrate modern software and hardware architectures with a focus on scalability, resilience, and long-term sustainability

Mentor development teams on architectural principles and best practices

Collaborate with engineers, developers, and stakeholders to align technology solutions with Agile and DevSecOps workflows

Develop and maintain architectural documentation including risk assessments, trade-off analyses, and implementation strategies

Evaluate emerging technologies and guide adoption to enhance agility and relevance

Balance technical debt, delivery timelines, and long-term system health in decision-making

Advise on secure identity and access management (IAM) design patterns

Promote use of architectural modeling standards (UML, ArchiMate, BPMN) and tools (Enterprise Architect, Archi, ARIS, XMLSpy)

Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in software and/or hardware architecture, including design patterns and paradigm shifts

Proven leadership in cross-functional teams and architectural mentorship

Experience integrating emerging technologies into operational systems

Strong background in modern IAM solution patterns

Hands-on experience in Agile DevSecOps environments with CI/CD practices

Skilled in developing technical documentation and strategic assessments

Familiarity with architectural modeling standards and tools

Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Fluent in English (oral and written)
