Operations Research Analyst, Lead
The Opportunity:
As a seasoned data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a lead data analyst at Booz Allen, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good. We need a data analyst like you to bring your expertise to federal aviation.

As a client-facing data analyst on our federal aviation team, you'll partner with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, you'll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on safeguarding our nation's airspace.

How You'll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you'll:
  • Share your data analytics expertise with team members to support client and stakeholder relationships
  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets
  • Lead impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations
  • Apply communication skills and analytical expertise by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience
  • Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes
  • Apply data visualization through different formats
  • Grow your communication and technical skills by creating data-centric solutions across federal aviation

You Have:
  • 15+ years of experience in analysis and procedures, definition of machine learning and data mining strategies, decision management models, modeling and simulation of exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instructions
  • Experience with conducting system analysis, cybersecurity engineering, design activities, requirements analysis, evaluation of interfaces, system level design, network engineering and coordination with interfacing User Programs on functional requirements
  • Experience with assessing and reporting on system performance measurements, determining impacts, performing testing, and reviewing test materials
  • Experience with preparation and review of technical program documentation, configuration plans, SOPs, and policies
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and best practices
  • Ability to implement Configuration Management (CM) process and practices
  • Ability to assist the government in providing 24/7 on-call support, as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
