Job Title: Senior ETL Developer (SSIS Expertise)
Location: Rocky Hill, CT
Job Description: We are seeking a Senior ETL Developer with a strong background in SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to join our data warehousing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in end-to-end SSIS development, including designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes. This role will work with on-prem data warehouse applications and will require a deep understanding of data modeling and strong SQL skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of SSIS-based ETL processes.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into ETL solutions.
- Ensure the integrity, quality, and availability of data in the data warehouse.
- Perform data modeling and architecture work to support data warehouse initiatives.
- Maintain and optimize data integration workflows to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Follow industry best practices for ETL development and data governance.
Key Qualifications:
- 9+ years of experience in the IT industry, specifically working on data warehouse and ETL projects.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SSIS development, including end-to-end lifecycle (design, development, testing, and deployment).
- Strong proficiency in SQL for complex query writing, performance tuning, and stored procedures.
- In-depth understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.
- Solid experience working with on-prem data warehouse applications.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data integration practices.
- Familiarity with HL7 and HIPAA compliance is a plus, particularly in healthcare data management.
Desired Skills:
- Healthcare background with an understanding of HL7 standards and HIPAA compliance is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
