Executive Communications Specialist (Contract)
Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite, Downtown Chicago (Loop)
Duration: 12-month contract, 40 hours/week (W2, paid weekly)

Overview
Seeking a strategic and creative Executive Communications Specialist to support senior leadership communications within its evolving U.S. Digital organization. This role is designed to alleviate bandwidth constraints for key leaders and drive impactful storytelling-from executive-level messaging to field-level engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Craft compelling executive communications, presentations, and digital narratives from raw notes and strategic input.
Translate complex ideas into clear, engaging stories tailored for diverse internal audiences.
Collaborate closely with the Director, VP, and Head of U.S. Digital to support communications tied to expanded leadership mandates.
Develop content that reflects organizational transformation, evolving structures, and the impact of new leadership and regulatory changes.
Contribute to executive visibility and alignment through field-level messaging, internal campaigns, and digital storytelling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in internal communications and/or corporate communications (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred).
Strong executive writing and presentation development skills.
Proven ability to synthesize notes and strategic input into polished communications.
Experience in communications strategy (not technical writing).
Experience with digital storytelling and internal communications in a corporate environment.
Financial services industry experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving organization.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
