Job Title: Lead Windows Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Lead Windows Engineer to take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure solution delivery for our enterprise customers. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product, and Project Management, to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing Windows-based solutions on both on-premises and cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in Windows platforms, infrastructure engineering, and troubleshooting complex environments. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of enterprise-level Windows infrastructure/system engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell
  • Familiarity with cloud integration and support (Azure or AWS preferred)
  • Experience supporting .NET, IIS, and SQL Server environments
  • In-depth understanding of VMWare, VXRAIL, network, DNS, and firewall troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Apigee, F5 LTM/GTM, and middleware components
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Solution Delivery:
    Lead the design and deployment of infrastructure solutions supporting enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Partner with Development, Product, Project Management, and other Engineering teams using a consultative approach to gather and analyze technical requirements to build/migrate enterprise applications.
  • System Engineering & Support:
    Design, configure, and support Windows Server environments, including troubleshooting escalated system and middleware issues.
  • Cloud & On-Premise Integration:
    Provide support for hybrid environments involving both on-premises and public cloud platforms (Azure/AWS preferred).
  • Scripting & Automation:
    Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Middleware and Application Support:
    Support platforms such as .NET Framework, IIS, MS SQL, and understand Apigee/XML gateways in conjunction with application deployments.
  • Infrastructure Services:
    Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure services like Active Directory, DNS, VMWare, VXRAIL, Group Policy, and Firewall Rules.
  • Load Balancing & Networking:
    Collaborate on network-related troubleshooting with an understanding of load balancing (e.g., F5 LTM/GTM) and security zones (dmz, app/protected, data).
  • Documentation & Best Practices:
    Create and maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes; enforce adherence to engineering best practices and security standards.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server / Azure Administrator
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
