We are looking for Network Security DevOps Engineer for our client in Spring, TX
Job Title: Network Security DevOps Engineer
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
- This role is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting network security technologies across multiple regions and environments.
- The position focuses on security engineering, automation, cloud network security, and collaboration with global cybersecurity teams to ensure resilient and efficient network protection.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network security.
- Experience with Cisco ASA (CSM), FTD (FMC), FortiGate (FortiManager), and Juniper SRX (Junos Space).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, and ACLs.
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, Internet technologies, IPS/IDS, firewall virtualization, VPNs, NAT, and DNS.
- Experience with AWS and Azure network security services.
- Growth mindset and a willingness to learn.

- Participation in global follow-the-sun on-call support rotation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network security.
- Experience with security platforms such as Cisco ASA/FTD, FortiGate, and Juniper SRX.
- Design, implement, and manage network security technologies and services across regions and infrastructure environments.
- Research and recommend industry best practices and emerging technologies in network security.
- Operate and maintain network security appliances, including upgrades and patching.
- Build and manage network security infrastructure using DevOps and automation tools.
- Contribute to Zero-Ops infrastructure through solutions that reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
- Support security operations, including monitoring, analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Evaluate security advisories and vulnerabilities, providing mitigation recommendations.
- Participate in ad-hoc vulnerability assessments and incident response activities.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain operational processes and documentation.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE/FCA/FCSS, CISSP, or GIAC.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, NAT, DNS, and related technologies.
- Experience with GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Python, REST API, Jenkins, Jinja2, and YAML.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking in AWS and Azure.
- Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
- Relevant education or certifications in network security or related fields preferred.
