Role: Sr. C++ Developer
Location : Chicago, IL Hybrid 3 Days onsite MUST Only locals
Duration: Contract
Experience : 11+ years MUST
We are looking for a senior C++ developer to help us maintain our massive existing codebase for our core Security products. We are looking to enhance the suite extensively in the coming months in terms of both functional enhancements and non-functional critical C++ related upgrades. We are looking for a candidate to join the team as an individual contributor and help us move the aforementioned upgrades along. The candidate is expected to have worked with minimal technical supervision in the past and should have the ability to drive complex changes on their own.

Qualifications:
- At least 12 years of professional experience with significant exposure to large complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Strong Experience in developing secure, low-latency enterprise level applications in Linux environment using C++ (including C++14/17), Boost and STL libraries.
- Experience in working with cloud technologies, especially on Azure ecosystem would be highly MUST
- Experience in developing highly secure code by following guidelines like OWASP, NIST would be strongly needed
- Solid background in relational/document-based databases.
- Experience in developing high performing RESTful web services with database connectivity.
- Experience in working with scripting languages -Bash, Python and the like.
- Exposure to C++ unit testing frameworks would be desirable.
Tasks & responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain massive existing C++ codebase pertaining to Security Development Team.
- Building and maintaining reusable C++ components/libraries for future use.
- Responsible for efficiently working with other teams in the organization to help them upgrade to latest client-side libraries in our quest to modernize the C++ stack.

Educational Qualifications:
- Required - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
- Preferred - Master s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.
Travel:
- Open to travel based-up on the nature of the engagement.
