IS Contract Administrator

Location: Saint Paul, MN

Job Description:

Client is looking for a Contract Administrator with (9) years of progressively responsible experience in contract administration to include overseeing the development and negotiation of contracts and bid specifications; managing bid openings; awarding and executing contracts.

Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

  • Drafting and Reviewing Contracts
  • Contract Execution
  • Monitoring and Compliance
  • Vendor Management

Financial Management:

  • Budget and Cost Control
  • Invoicing and Payments

Risk Management:

  • Risk Assessment
  • Compliance and Audits
  • Documentation and Record Keeping


Required Skills:

  • 9 years of progressively responsible experience in contract administration to include overseeing the development and negotiation of contracts and bid specifications; managing bid openings; awarding and executing contracts.
  • Relevant government purchasing and contracting certifications such as an UPPCC Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) or Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), or a NIGP-CPP are a plus.
  • Contract preparation and administration in IT
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, processes and laws related to general liability in the State; federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to competitive procurement practices.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Word and Excel, Electronic Calendar and Internet
  • Requires skill and persuasion in dealing with others, both inside and outside of the department. Interactions with others generally require influencing, instructing and negotiating with individuals to gain their understanding, cooperation and action.
  • Skilled in time management
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
