Job Details

Assist the Tax Manager in ensuring that our client and related companies in the Americas region are in compliance with all governmental tax laws. Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of all required federal, state, and local tax returns. Assist in the preparation and review of all tax information required for financial reporting purposes. Responsibilities include foreign, federal, state, and local tax return filings, determining opportunities for tax reduction and/or refunds, research of domestic and international tax issues, assisting with internal and external audits, and participating in the month end and year end closing process.

Responsibilities

Prepares or reviews foreign, federal, state, and local tax returns including property tax returns, sales/use tax returns, and federal, state, and municipal returns, extensions, and quarterly payments.

Prepares tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules.

Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues.

Maintains and updates legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws.

Maintains compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities.

Maintains tax balance in general ledger.

Assists with internal/external audits.

Identifies tax saving opportunities and process/technology improvements.

Responds to notices and correspondence received from tax authorities.

This position may require travel up to 10%.

This is a hybrid position.

Management Responsibilities

This job will require reviewing the work of others.

This position reports to the Tax Manager.

This position may have 1 or more direct reports.

Qualifications

This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 to 7 years of position-related experience; preferably 7 to 9 years of position-related experience.

Experience with One Source Income Tax Software is strongly preferred.

Experience with tax research software is required.

Corporate Tax experience and/or Public Accounting experience preferred.

Salary: $110,000- $120,000 per year ( depends on experience level)
