Job Description:

  • The role will sit onsite at Client HQ M-F (40 hours per week).
  • Hours 8am - 5pm during training period (2-4 weeks).
  • After training, can start shift as early as 7am.
  • This contractor is covering a 6-month medical leave.
  • PPE provided.
  • Open to college grads looking to gain lab experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • This position is responsible for planning, organizing, performing, and reporting results from assorted laboratory procedures and assays under minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a safe, clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Conduct all activities in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and all required Company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all necessary cleaning (eg. glassware) duties.
  • Schedule & perform clinical laboratory procedures according to protocol submitted.
  • Perform biological & clinical (e.g. blood, urinalysis, fecal, etc.) assays as required to support the nutritional research efforts of the facility and health care of our pets.
  • Maintain accurate records/log of analytical requests and data.
  • Effectively communicate results, through written technical documentation and reports.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge):

  • BS/BA in Biology or related field recommended.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years related experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of all laboratory equipment and GLP's.
  • Good teamwork, interpersonal, communication, organization, math and writing skills.
  • Computer literacy.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS PREFERED BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Proficient with instrument software interfaces.
  • Advanced knowledge of EXCEL.
