Job Title: SAP Logistics Consultant (SD/MM) S/4 HANA Support

Location: Remote in Canada (EST time zone); 8-15 hours/week
Role Type: Long-term, Part-time Support

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Logistics Consultant with a solid background in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and MM (Materials Management), especially within S/4 HANA, for a long-term, part-time remote support role. Work will involve supporting standard SAP processes (no EWM, minimal customizations) for highly engaged client stakeholders. The ticket volume is low and focuses on routine requests relating to master data, SAP configurations, and integration basics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support and troubleshooting for SAP SD and MM modules in an S/4 HANA environment.
  • Resolve user requests and incidents related to:
    • Master Data management (customers, vendors, materials)
    • Creation and updates of Condition Types
    • Changes in material characteristics
    • Basic integration issues with other products/systems
  • Monitor, manage, and address support tickets, using tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Triage, investigate, and resolve issues according to SLA.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate solutions, maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Document solutions, prepare user guides, and maintain FAQs.
  • Collaborate with IT teams (basis, security, integrations) for cross-functional issues.
  • Participate in regular client status meetings.
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvements in master data consistency and standard process configuration.
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity, change management, and audit requirements.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP SD and MM configuration and support.
  • Solid experience with S/4 HANA, including its simplified data model and Fiori interfaces.
  • Demonstrated capability in a support role for demanding clients.
  • Proven experience with ticket management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Desk) for incident tracking and resolution.
  • Strong understanding of master data, condition types, and material characteristics.
  • Familiarity with SAP standard processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, goods movements, pricing, billing).
  • Exposure to SAP integration points with external systems (IDocs, RFCs, APIs).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for configuration and data issues.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, with the ability to explain SAP concepts and solutions effectively.
  • Availability during EST business hours and a reliable home office setup.

Preferred (Nice-to-have) Skills

  • Experience with S/4 HANA migrations or greenfield implementations.
  • Familiarity with additional SAP modules (FI, CO, PP, WM) is a plus.
  • Ability to create and update user documentation and training materials.
  • Understanding of interface monitoring and basic resolution.
  • Experience in low ticket volume environments with strong client engagement.
