Your impact

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Philadelphia, PA office, you'll join a collaborative team delivering integrated building services design. Our expertise spans power system planning, power distribution, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, and low- to medium-voltage distribution for projects in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, and Healthcare.

In this role, you'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, performing design and calculations for lighting systems and controls, preparing load analyses at various design stages, and developing detailed drawings and basis-of-design reports. You'll also document energy compliance, select equipment and fixtures, and coordinate with engineers across disciplines and architects. Working alongside our Electrical Engineers and Designers, you'll leverage your design and analysis skills to plan and implement electrical systems for buildings and facilities, including data centers and pharmaceutical/healthcare environments.

What You'll Do

  • Design complete low- and medium-voltage electrical systems (4.16KV,13.3KV, 35 KV), including power, lighting, fire alarm, and signaling systems
  • Develop lighting systems and associated control systems
  • Prepare load analyses for each stage of design
  • Lead a design team in producing detailed electrical system drawings
  • Draft basis-of-design reports for projects
  • Document energy compliance with applicable codes
  • Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment
  • Coordinate with mechanical, life safety, and other engineering disciplines, as well as architects
  • Maintain confidentiality with clients and projects

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Professional Engineer license (PE)
  • 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, including the following:
    • Experience working for a MEP firm required focusing on Mission Critical applications, experience designing medium-voltage distribution systems and emergency generation
    • Proficient in Revit, 3D CADD, SKM and/or eTap Power Tools, Bentley BIM
    • Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards, i.e.; 70,70E,130,502,101,110, etc.
    • Working knowledge of other building systems (e.g. door finish hardware, IT building communications, lighting controls and BAS networks) as these relate electrical systems

Ideally, You'll Also Have

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering

135,000.00

190,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $135,000.00 to $190,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
