Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Engineer in Covington, KY.

Summary:
The Systems Engineer will provide operational support for Business Unit aligned functions including Infrastructure Support, Cloud Enablement, Platform Engineering, Environment Management, Incident Support and Deployments. By demonstrating and promoting Agile leadership behaviors, you will evolve and sustain an innovative agile culture. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate all your skills in engineering, modernizing, and supporting applications in addition to providing critical production support. In this role, you will be encouraged to quickly gain understanding of all the components of our applications and will work with the team to deliver outstanding solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience managing technology environment stability and availability
* Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation
* Experience with search and analytics engines (Splunk, ELK)
* Experience with workflow design, data analysis, and requirements identification/specification
* Experience with cloud-based technologies including SaaS solutions for cloud providers
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies
* Experience production support systems (Service Now, Udeploy, Jenkins, etc.)
* Experience with docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.)
* Proven experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
* Knowledge of ITIL practices
* Knowledge of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles
* Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS, routing) (F5 or AVI experience a plus)
* Proficient with PowerShell and Python scripting for automation
* Proficient with a programming language (JavaScript, NodeJS, Java)
* Demonstrate creative and abstract thinking
* Positive relationship management and facilitation skills
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical and/or project management skills required
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to provide 24x7 support for the production environments
* AWS Certification a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
