Azure Cloud Architect
The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the power of the cloud", but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to build a cloud-based te chn ical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve the lives of our nation's veterans? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of our VA client's toughest challenges.

As a leader on our team, you'll lead our architecture strategy and work with our Solution Architects to validate architectural runway and incrementally evolve capabilities in alignment with VA Enterprise Architecture, Agile Standard Operating Framework, and VA Product Line Architecture guidelines. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud te chn ologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment using cloud capabilities. Your te chn ical expertise will be vital as you work with our VA client to inform strategy and design, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You'll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You'll use your experience to guide your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud.

You Have:
  • Experience leading architecture for large e nga gements, including legacy and Azure cloud system deployments
  • Experience with end-to-end cloud solution architecture, design, and deployment through Micro sof t Azure
  • Experience with authentication, authorization, and identity management
  • Experience with Federal Government regulations, compliance, and system authorization
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture patterns and standards
  • Ability to e nga ge senior business and te chn ical decision-makers with capture and proposal expertise
  • Ability to translate business and end-user requirements, and explain complex te chn ical solutions in a succinct manner
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with sof tware or system design, or 9+ years of experience with sof tware or system design in lieu of a degree


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with standards for open systems architectures, the OSI and ISO reference models, and profiles of standards
  • Experience working in Agile development scenarios
  • Experience with data migration or modeling
  • Experience with FedRAMP or TIC 2.2 and 3.0
  • Knowledge of networking and routing te chn ologies
  • Knowledge of application programming interface and integration te chn ologies and standards
  • Cloud Platform Certification, including Azure Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
