Job Details

Job Title: IT Deployment Technician
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 6 Months contract

Job Description:
Agency is undertaking a large-scale IT modernization initiative focused on imaging, configuring, and deploying 600 laptops and 23 desktops across various judicial offices. This project aims to enhance technological infrastructure, ensure system standardization, and improve overall staff productivity through updated devices.

Key Responsibilities:

Device Imaging:

  • Perform standardized imaging of laptops and desktops using agency-approved tools.
  • Install operating systems and core applications in accordance with security policies and configuration standards.
  • Conduct post-imaging validation checks to ensure system integrity and readiness.

System Preparation and Configuration:

  • Apply necessary updates, security patches, and additional software as defined by agency standards.
  • Configure user accounts, domain associations, and device management settings.
  • Label and inventory all devices accurately for tracking and deployment.

Deployment Support:

  • Coordinate with agency IT to execute scheduled rollouts across multiple branch locations.
  • Provide onsite or remote setup assistance to end-users during deployments.
  • Deliver initial support to ensure smooth user transition and adoption.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive logs detailing imaging completion, configuration steps, deployment progress, and inventory tracking.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and milestones to agency project leads and IT management.

Collaboration and Compliance:

  • Work collaboratively with agency IT Help Desk and Network teams.
  • Adhere strictly to agency IT policies, privacy regulations, and project protocols.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, technical accuracy, and efficiency.
