Job Description
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field;

Preferred Certifications:
Certifications in software testing (e.g. ISTQB) preferred

Required Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Proven experience managing testing in complex, enterprise-level software implementations
Proficiency in developing and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to manage test cycles, defect tracking, and reporting protocols
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and stakeholder updates
Experience with testing interfaces, forms, reports, and document generation
Competence in planning and validating data conversions
Familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestRail, Excel, or other test management platforms
Agreement to follow IRS Pub 1075 Requirements
Agreement to State background check

Preferred Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Familiarity with tax systems, public sector software, or regulatory environments preferred

The Client is seeking a meticulous and results-driven Test Manager to lead quality assurance efforts for a multi-year tax platform upgrade. This individual will oversee comprehensive testing activities, including functional testing, interface validations, report verifications, and data conversion audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in navigating complex software environments.

Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive test plans aligned with the Requirements Traceability Matrix
Review, enhance, and maintain test scenarios across functional and non-functional domains
Coordinate testing of interfaces, reports, letters, forms, and taxpayer-facing publications
Lead and participate in data conversion verification and reconciliation efforts
Track and report testing progress daily during active testing cycles
Collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts, developers, and subject matter experts to validate requirements
Identify defects, analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution
Maintain testing documentation and ensure audit traceability
Provide input into continuous process improvements for testing lifecycle
Support end-to-end integration and user acceptance testing (UAT)

Deliverables:
Detailed and traceable test plans and scripts
Validated and updated test scenario matrix
Defect logs with resolution tracking
Daily status reports highlighting progress, blockers, and next steps
Verified data conversion results with source-target consistency analysis
Final test summary report with quality metrics and readiness assessment
