Job Summary

As a Dynatrace Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing Dynatrace application performance monitoring solutions to ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability for our applications and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and configure monitoring solutions that provide real-time insights into system performance, user experience, and application health. Your expertise will be critical in diagnosing and resolving performance issues, enhancing system visibility, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
Proven experience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools
understanding of application architecture, cloud environments, and microservices
Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Familiarity with ITIL and DevOps practices

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration: Deploy and configure Dynatrace agents across various environments, ensuring optimal monitoring coverage and performance metrics.
Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor application performance and user experience, analyzing data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve performance issues using Dynatrace's advanced features, collaborating with development and operations teams as necessary.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate and present performance reports to stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Automation & Integration: Work on integrating Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines and other tools to enhance observability and streamline processes.
Best Practices: Develop and maintain documentation on monitoring best practices, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Working Conditions

Working Conditions:

Standard office environment, with weekend or nighttime work to implement changes when users are off the system
Limited travel required to remote sites for maintenance and moves
Extensive computer work with prolonged sitting
Participates in rotation of on-call responsibility
