Job Details
NTT DATA's Client is seeking a Senior Production Support Engineer with 6+ years of experience in Perl and Shell Scripts.
Day to Day job Duties:
Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable Perl and shell scripts for system automation, data processing, file manipulation, and report generation in a Linux environment.
Manage, monitor, and support complex batch processing jobs using Autosys.
Develop, test, and implement Autosys job definitions (JIL) for new and existing application processes.
Convert and migrate legacy batch processes (e.g., cron jobs) to the Autosys environment.
Implement and support file transfer processes using NDM (Connect:Direct), SFTP, and FTP protocols. Develop and troubleshoot scripts for automated file transfer workflows.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and issue investigation.
Perform ad-hoc SQL queries to fulfill business and client data requests.
Troubleshoot database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and data integrity problems.
Manage code and scripts using Bitbucket/Git for version control. Participate in code reviews and manage the deployment pipeline.
Skills Required:
Overall 6+ years of hands-on experience in a development or production support role.
Proven experience in a Linux/Unix environment, including command-line tools and scripting.
Extensive experience with Perl scripting.
In-depth knowledge of Autosys for job scheduling, including JIL, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated experience with NDM (Connect:Direct) and other file transfer protocols (SFTP).
Practical experience with Bitbucket and Git for source code management.
Demonstrated proficiency with SQL for querying and troubleshooting databases.
Strong experience with a workload automation or batch scheduling tool, preferably Autosys.
Working knowledge of file transfer protocols, including NDM (Connect:Direct).
Experience with development and issue tracking tools such as Bitbucket and Jira.
Direct experience or strong familiarity with data integrity software, including Stream weaver, Code1plus, and Verimove.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Precisely software support:
Provide support for production applications using Precisely software solutions, including Streamweaver, Code1plus, and Verimove.
Handle data integrity and output issues related to these applications, including address verification and postal pre-sorting.
