Description:
Infrastructure Storage Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking an Infrastructure Storage Engineer to support the next generation of satellite command and control systems for a government customer. As part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for managing storage services across multiple environments and providing solutions for storage-related issues. The ideal candidate should be a strong troubleshooter with experience in storage issue mitigation and prevention. This role may require occasional on-call support, overtime, and after-hours availability for installation and troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Experience with storage configuration in physical and virtualized environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise backup architecture, emphasizing Cohesity backup solutions
  • Thorough understanding of on-premise and virtualized infrastructure data center systems design
  • Proficiency in Linux System Administration
  • Hands-on scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with containerized storage solutions (e.g., PVC/OCP/Kubernetes)
  • Automation design and implementation using Unix/Linux command-line shell scripts
  • Knowledge of fiber channel configurations on storage, fiber channel switches, tape libraries, and servers (including multipath configurations)
  • Proficiency in standard MS Office productivity suite (intermediate experience with Excel and Visio)
  • Ability to create informative charts and drawings illustrating storage system configuration and design
  • Experience with delivery coordination to a site
  • Current Security+ certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
