STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more; including internationally in Mexico and India.

Our Solutions team is seeking Desktop Support Technician to support our global media & entertainment client with their new office move in Washington DC. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation and setup of about 100 workstations for a brand-new office by the move in date of 10/3. This included unboxing and setting up all monitors, keyboards, mice, webcams for all workstation areas and ensure all equipment is properly installed, connected, and functioning. Once the new employees move in on 10/6, this role will transition to full time desktop support role for 100 employees. You will be onsite 4-5 days per week and handle all troubleshooting onsite.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent client-facing personality, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



  • Set up and connect monitors, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals.

  • Install monitor arms.

  • Assemble desk layout and position workstations.

  • Manage and organize all cabling, including network, HDMI, and USB-C cables.

  • Connect and test power supplies for all devices.

  • Implement effective cable management solutions per our design spec.

  • Ensuring appropriate access to internet, networks, WiFi and printers

  • Perform quality checks to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.

  • Track and maintain IT hardware.

  • Report any challenges or roadblocks immediately to the manager.


Tech-Bar Support



  • Facilitate Device deployment activities, tracking assets, handing out new devices (mobile and laptop)

  • Support the SSO registration process for new and transferred employees

  • Troubleshoot any tech issues related to new devices, workstations, printers

  • Support both Mac and PC hardware and software issues

  • Ensure all Office 365, Outlook, Teams, and other applications like Zoom are properly set up on all devices and properly functioning

  • Conference room AV support


Required Experience



  • Familiarity with Windows 10 and Mac OS environments.

  • Proven experience in setting up and configuring enterprise workstations.

  • Strong knowledge of cabling and cable management techniques.

  • Experience connecting equipment to power supply connections and testing.

  • Ability to troubleshoot network and cable connectivity issues.

  • Proficiency in installing and updating drivers and software.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communications and customer service skills.

  • Reliability and promptness.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, carry items, walk long distances, and bend under desks.


Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $28-32/per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
