General Summary:

Snapdragon Studios is seeking an exceptional individual to lead Power and Performance Competitor Analysis team. In this exciting position, you'll collaborate directly with OEMs, chipset team, tech teams, power and performance teams, driving game optimizations and creating unparalleled experiences for the Snapdragon platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Competitor Analysis:
    • Drive CA testing on snapdragon reference devices and OEM devices, specifically for AAA games. Develop a comprehensive test strategy and methodology to ensure complete coverage of critical areas and uncover valuable insights.
    • Analyze gaming performance, power efficiency, and thermal data, delivering precise Competitor Analysis (CA) reports.
    • Best demonstrate power and performance benefits of Elite Gaming Features on snapdragon platforms.
  • Power and Performance Expertise:
    • As the Competitor Analysis Lead, you'll dive deep into the intricacies of CPU, GPU, SoC System, System benchmark, and overall system performance and power optimization techniques. Your mission is to work closely with OEMs and Game developers to ensure best performance and power on snapdragon platforms. You will need to use the techniques to project and analyze AAA gaming configs in coming chipsets based on system hardware configurations.
    • Create performance models and employ predictive analytics, effectively leveraging performance and power analysis tools toaccurately benchmark Snapdragon platforms against competitors.
  • Collaboration and Communication Excellence:
    • Foster collaboration across teams,including chipset product managers, system and software tech teams,marketing, and customer support engineers.
    • Present findings and recommendations to chipset teams and executive leadership with clarity and impact.
    • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Synthesize complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
    • Anticipate competitor moves and recommend strategic responses.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Game Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

3+ years of relevant Gaming Software experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electric Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of Proven experience in performance and power analysis, optimization, or related roles within semiconductor industry. AAA Game experience preferred.
  • Skills: Familiarity with CPU, GPU, SoC architectures, system-level performance tuning, and game engine rendering pipelines. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of gaming industry is a plus.

$185,500.00 - $278,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
