As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will advise on strategy and design end-to-end innovative healthcare solutions that deliver exceptional user experience. You will work directly with external Customers and internal teams to architect solutions for top initiatives. You will be hands on to deliver value and increased ROI.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Develop end-to-end solutions for external and internal customers of across all business capabilities including but not limited to: pre-sales, ordering, results processing, revenue cycle management, data management, compliance management and more. You will leverage your deep experience in healthcare IT to actively design, and manage others to design, solution architectures that optimize customer experience and adhere to enterprise architecture guidelines.
  • Product Management: Collaborate with product managers and analysts to bridge the gap between customer wants and needs, product management, business analysis, financial management, business goals, and technical implementation.
  • Architecture Development: Collaborate with enterprise architecture (EA) and domain architects to develop architectural blueprints, adaptive and transitional architectures, and design patterns. Work cross functionally with domain architects to deliver end to end solution architecture including integration and data architectures, to guide development teams in implementing the solution. Partner with EA to evaluate existing and emerging technologies relevant to healthcare technology, such as laboratory information systems (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), and big data processing platforms.
  • Integration and Interoperability: Design Customer solutions to enable seamless interoperability between laboratory systems and other healthcare IT systems, such as EHRs and billing systems. Implement standards-based interfaces and protocols to facilitate data exchange and workflow automation.
  • Engineering and Quality: Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to evangelize agile and devsecops practices to iteratively deliver operational key results and exceptional value while meeting regulatory, privacy and security standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor the performance of systems and processes, identify opportunities for optimization. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting laboratory operations, and proactively recommend improvements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills. You will present solution architectures in business terms to executives, clearly articulate the benefits, and also present to technical and non-technical working team members.
  • Support Business Growth: Align technology with the company s growth strategies. Support business expansion activities by providing standard, scalable, rationalized and flexible digital technology solutions.
  • Enhance Operational Efficiency: Focus on enhancing the operational efficiency of healthcare services through innovative solutions, reducing costs, and improving patient outcomes.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure that all solutions comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (like HIPAA in the U.S.), and manage risks associated with technology deployments and data security.
  • Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment that encourages cross-departmental integration and cooperation. Ensure that IT solutions support seamless communication and workflow between different business units, such as finance, clinical operations, and administration.

Required skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelors required. Masters preferred. Degree in in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 9+ years combined experience in a healthcare business solutions role, solution architect role, enterprise architect role, or business analysis role.
  • Strong understanding of oncology and pathology workflows including ordering, processing, testing, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in healthcare standards and regulations, such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, CLIA, and HIPAA.
  • Proficient at using data and analysis to find business problems and develop solution that improve business results.
  • Strong business acumen to identify business and technical risks, set realistic goals, develop business strategies, and leverage technology to meet business needs.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks preferred.
  • Scaled agile experience and high sense of urgency.
  • Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem- solving skills.
  • Laboratory, Pathology, Oncology or Hospital IT background required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear and actionable solutions.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-impact projects on time and within budget.
  • Certification(s) in relevant technologies or methodologies (e.g., Salesforce, Scaled Agile (SAFe), FHIR, Azure) is a plus.
