Job Title: Windows Admin( Consolidator)

USA Remote - Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Windows 18 Consolidator to manage, optimize, and consolidate Windows environments across the organization. The role involves system migration, performance tuning, and infrastructure consolidation to ensure a secure, scalable, and efficient Windows platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the consolidation of multiple Windows-based environments into a unified infrastructure.
  • Perform migration, upgrades, and integration of systems, applications, and services.
  • Ensure minimal downtime during consolidation and provide robust rollback strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, networking, storage, cloud) to streamline operations.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
  • Document consolidation processes, architecture diagrams, and support procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams during and after consolidation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows platform issues.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows desktop environments.
  • Experience in large-scale system consolidation, migration, and integration.
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (or similar certifications).
  • Experience in enterprise-level infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of security hardening and compliance frameworks (ISO, HIPAA, etc.).
