Job Title: Windows Admin( Consolidator)
USA Remote - Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Windows 18 Consolidator to manage, optimize, and consolidate Windows environments across the organization. The role involves system migration, performance tuning, and infrastructure consolidation to ensure a secure, scalable, and efficient Windows platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the consolidation of multiple Windows-based environments into a unified infrastructure.
- Perform migration, upgrades, and integration of systems, applications, and services.
- Ensure minimal downtime during consolidation and provide robust rollback strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, networking, storage, cloud) to streamline operations.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
- Document consolidation processes, architecture diagrams, and support procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams during and after consolidation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows platform issues.
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows desktop environments.
- Experience in large-scale system consolidation, migration, and integration.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation tools.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (or similar certifications).
- Experience in enterprise-level infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of security hardening and compliance frameworks (ISO, HIPAA, etc.).
