Description:
We have an immediate need for a Systems Admin to support the Marine Corps in Camp Pendleton. It is more important to hit the years of experience and then a specific skill set in security. This is a great way for a Mid Level Systems admin to move up in his/her career to get more responsibility and take their career to the next level.
We're seeking a candidate who has experience with Windows server, sustainment, and management activities to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of the Marine Corps network. This will be supporting Marine corps 1st. Network Battalion. First Network Battalion operates, secures, and defends its area of responsibility of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network in general support of both the Fleet Marine Forces and Supporting Establishment by conducting Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) operations and Defensive Cyberspace Operations-Internal Defensive Measures, providing forces, communications control and cybersecurity services in order to enable freedom of action across all warfighting domains and functions while denying the same to adversaries.
You'll be part of the systems team responsible for managing an infrastructure comprised of a variety of servers and closing tickets out through their ticketing system.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain an enterprise services environment consisting of Windows servers.
Assist mission partners with mobile device VPN connectivity debugging, user account and device management, and troubleshooting system/service access issues.
Perform configuration updates and maintenance activities to patch, secure, and maintain systems.
Respond to, and help analyze, issues that degrade system or network performance to minimize downtime.
Address moderately complex technical issues using internal SOPs and collaboration with team members.
Help create and update documentation for common issues and processes to contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Provide input on ways to optimize processes and improve the efficiency of the environment.
Support occasional after hours maintenance and be available for 2-hour onsite call back support for critical issues.
